After 18 years of involvement with the sponsorship of Mathematics competitions in Nigeria, Promasidor Nigeria Limited, manufacturers of Cowbell - Our Milk, has taken a strategic decision to bring all its Mathematics intervention activities by Cowbell under one umbrella, Cowbellpedia.
The Cowbellpedia Secondary Schools Mathematics TV Quiz Show is a platform to discover, recognize and reward excellence in Mathematics, a critical component ofScience, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education in Nigeria.
This is in addition to the quality nutrition that is provided by the Cowbell brand for the nourishment of the Nigerian populace especially children.
The Cowbellpedia competition will be in two stages, Qualifying Written Examination and TV Quiz Show(View clips from last year HERE).
The competition is open to students from ages 10 – 18 years in both Public and Private Secondary Schools in Nigeria. Registration is completely FREE and should be done by the school online at portal.cowbellpedia.ng
Each school is required to present their BEST Ten (10) students in Mathematics (five from JSS3 and five from SSS2), irrespective of religion, tribe or state of origin to enhance their chance of qualifying for the next stage of the competition.
However, in order to encourage the Girl Child Education, we appeal to Mixed Secondary Schools to nominate a minimum of two (2) females for each category to represent the school.
The stage one examination will be conducted by the National Examination Council NECO and is fixed for Saturday, March 19, 2016.
Winners in both categories of the competition will go home with a cash prize of N1,000, 000 each and an all-expense paid vacation.
First and second runners-up will take N750,000 and N500,000 respectively.
Teachers and Schools of winning students will also be rewarded.

- Cowbellpedia Radio Programme: A 5-minute interactive radio Mathematics program to teach secondary school students rudiments of Mathematics.
- Cowbellpedia Game: A multi-level game that allows secondary school students to practice Mathematics questions in a fun way.
The game can be played online at www.cowbellpedia.ng and downloaded on mobile from Google Play Store and Apple Store.
