Saudi Arabia wants to execute gays for open displays of homosexuality

The Saudi government is considering a new law that will impose the death penalty on gay men and lesbians who openly display their same sex preferences in public and on social media.

The Saudi government blames social media for the explosion of homosexuality and “sexual perversion” in the Sunni Kingdom..

Homosexuality is currently illegal in Saudi Arabia.

According to UK’s Express, Saudi lawmakers want to impose tougher punishments on homosexuals who display their affections on social media.

The government currently hands out punishment such as fines, prison time and public whippings for being too openly gay.

Do you think this law is harsh, or appropriate?
