Grieving pensioner Almeda Errell, from Sevierville, Tennessee, met teenager Gary Hardwick – her daughter-in-law’s nephew – as she buried her 45-year-old son Robert, who died after years of ill health.
Following a whirlwind three-week romance, she and Gary Hardwick – now 18, and who had previously dated a woman of 77 – tied the knot in a ceremony which he arranged for just $200 in six days.
Almeda walked down the aisle in a dress borrowed from his cousin and, on their wedding night, they had sex for the first time and Gary says sex with Almeda is “beyond my wildest dreams.” Now they are sharing Almeda's house with one of her grandsons who is 3 years older than Gary.
Almeda said: “I wasn’t looking for a young man, but Gary just came along. I just knew straight away that he was the one.” Since their wedding in October, Gary, who works at a Walmart store, has had their names tattooed across his chest.
