This Guy Is So On Point About Nigerian 'Halloweeners'
This guy is venting my thoughts exactly, so I still have people who think like myself. I'm not so weird after all.
You can funkify and package someone else's ritual festival but see your own as demonic forgetting that they're the same.
I can't forget the fun from Odun Eegún in ita mẹ́rin way back.
But our people will now be forming posh with someone else's ritual because it's from Òyìnbó.

Thewashingtonpost Reaching New Level Of Hypocrisy In Coverage Of Hillary Email Investigation
Originally appeared at MoonOfAlabama
The Washington Post editorial page is staunchly neoconservative and early on endorsed Hillary Clinton for president. On July 7 2016 the editors pinned an editorial defending FBI chief Comey’s decision to then close the Clinton email case:
Republicans attack Mr. Comey for doing his job
IF REPUBLICANS believe the FBI director is corrupt and political, they should have the gumption to say so. Instead, many have insulted James B. Comey with slimy implications and underhanded threats since Tuesday, when he announced that he would not recommend charges against Hillary Clinton relating to her use of a private email server while secretary of state.
…
A look at today’s Washington Post editorial page seems to demonstrate a change of mind:
From the first piece headlined James Comey is damaging our democracy:
First, the FBI director, James B. Comey, put himself enthusiastically forward as the arbiter of not only whether to prosecute a criminal case — which is not the job of the FBI — but also best practices in the handling of email and other matters. Now, he has chosen personally to restrike the balance between transparency and fairness, departing from the department’s traditions.
From the second piece by notorious mud-slinger Dana Milbank:
I’ve long believed in Comey’s integrity. But if he doesn’t step forward and explain his October Surprise, he may inadvertently wind up interfering in the political process — perhaps even reversing the outcome of a presidential election — in a way that would have made J. Edgar Hoover gape.
And the third strike:
FBI Director James B. Comey’s stunning announcement that he has directed investigators to begin reviewing new evidence in the Clinton email investigation was yet another troubling violation of long-standing Justice Department rules or precedent, conduct that raises serious questions about his judgment and ability to serve as the nation’s chief investigative official.
Back to the July 7 editorial:
“It appears damage is being done to the rule of law,” Mr. Ryan said. He’s right, but the FBI director isn’t doing the damage. The wreckers are those who cast baseless aspersions on U.S. law enforcement in the service of their partisan goals.
I for one believe that Comey was wrong in July and is right today. He should have pressed for charges against Clinton early on. Using a “secret” private email server for confidential state business is not legal and would have been out of bounds for anyone else. Now possible new evidence was found and must be investigated. It is not Comey’s job to ask if the timing of a renewed investigation is convenient for the potential culprit. He also had to inform Congress because he had reasonably promised to do so. (He also needed to save his ass before anyone else in his department talked to the media.)
The so called “election” of a U.S. president is always a sorry show. But this season’s version has at least some amusing moments. Seeing the hypocrites at Fred Hyatt’s Funny Pages™ squirm is one of them. It makes me smirk.

Ways To Keep The Peace With Roommates
Sharing space with roommates can be challenging in the best of times — and that's not mentioning the other times. You know, the times your roomie takes your food without asking (or replacing it), leaves a huge mess for others (you) to clean up, or brings a significant other home to stay for weeks (or months).

Saker update #2 (+ a few words on the Trump-Clinton debate)
Now about the debate:
As much as I thought that Killary had one the first one, this time around I feel that Trump beat Killary by a big margin: she was on the defensive and he was very effective. And it was a 1 against 3, as Trump himself said. The two “journalists” were a joke, to put it mildly. And Trump beat them all.

Russian options against a US attack on Syria
This article was written for the Unz Review: (link to original article to be provided later)
The tensions between Russia and the USA have reached an unprecedented level. I fully agree with the participants of this CrossTalk show – the situation is even worse and more dangerous than during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Both sides are nowgoing to the so-called “Plan B” which, simply put, stand for, at best, no negotiations and, at worst, a war between Russia and the USA.

World Teachers' Day: Why The Worth Of The Teaching Profession Depreciates
Oct 5: Teachers can't earn high remuneration, a repugnant dogma
The father of the evergreen human right activist and a musical icon, late Fela Anikulapo Kuti, led a united front for practioners of the teaching profession across Nigeria to establish a sublime economic condition and improved welfarism of teachers which have now been reduced to an abysmal state. The dastardly act of cutting teachers' remunerations and maltreating (taking their welfarism with levity) them, there by resulting into a great depression amidst the practioners, were the dominant catalysts that erupted the emergence of the National Union of Teachers (NUT) whose maiden national president was Rev. Oladotun Ransome Kuti (late), formerly the president of the Association of Headmasters of Ijebu Schools (AHIS).

This is the type of woman every man loves to marry.
THE SUBMISSIVE WOMAN
Most ladies spend so much time and energy preparing for a wedding ceremony but very unprepared for just one condition responsible for a formidable union called SUBMISSION.
The modern day woman has allowed sophistication as a result of sound education and several other factors to make her see herself as equal to a man hence finds it difficult to be extremely submissive and this is one of the triggering factors for a break up. Being fully submissive to your man is one of the greatest secret to longevity of any romantic affair so Lets see what the Quran and Bible has to say concerning the act of submission from the woman.

How My Hatred For Suits Almost Cost Me An Interview
I was recently invited to an interview for a managerial post and I decided to wear my usual corporate long sleeves and trouser. This is my usual dressing to interviews. I have never loved suits. In fact the only time I have worn suit was on my wedding. So I was doing well in the interview until the panelists said my shirt was washed and even though I am not wearing suits, I could have worn something better.

"Some candidates forget 'expo' in their answer booklets'- WAEC
In a hurry to submit their answer booklets to invigilators, some candidates forget their expo (materials used for examination malpractice) in the booklets, the West African Examination Council has said.
The council also noted that some other candidates use different answer booklets from its authorised copies.
Its Public Relations Officer, Mr. Demianus Ojijeogu, who confirmed this in an interview with our correspondent, however, added that the council had reduced the incidence of impersonation in its examinations through its biometric registration process
